Bio
Niall Estevan Martinez Ridgley is a NYC-based playwright and screenwriter by way of New Mexico known for The Helsinki Cycle, Red Sky Summer, and Cairns. His plays have been developed at Theatre East, The Actors Studio, the Pan Asian Repertory, and The Playground Experiment. Mr. Ridgley received an MFA in Playwriting at The Actors Studio Drama School and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. His play The Helsinki Cycle was published by Smith & Krauss in Best Male Monologues of 2021. He got to know New York City working as a breaking news photojournalist and continues to immerse himself in the city's culture from his home base in the East Village.

It Seems I Am the Fish (a ten-minute play)
A fish-centric courtroom farce. Two women from the Floribama Coast must outwit their fish captors when they wake up inside a reverse fishbowl, prisoners of the underwater kingdom of Fishlantis. Oceanic puns and a game of hunter and prey ensue, revealing the differences and common ground between mankind and fishkind.
Velones (a one-act drama)
A crime drama set in Washington Heights.
Mijito (a full-length play)
A modern hispanic family drama about the bond between mothers and sons.
The Art of the Headshot (a short film)
Photography class can be hard, especially when you want to break up your professor's marriage.

Actor: Trained at The Neighborhood Playhouse, University of Southern California BFA, The Actors Studio Drama School. Resume and reel available upon request. Performances include multiple short film roles including the award winning A Kiss from Your Lips, as well as stage performances at the University of Southern California and Sarah Lawrence College including Noises Off and Noon Day Sun.
